History: History/Background Story: Orochi Shin is the unknown son of Orochimaru & no name woman from Haku's clan. He was later taken from Mist, where he grew up, by Nagato & was trained personally by Nagato when Orochi was old enough to start ninja training. After learning as much as he could from Nagato, he left to go out on his own & later formed his own organization, the Zodiac Mercenaries. He put himself under a semi-permanent Genjutsu that made him look like a snake-like man, more so then even his father Orochimaru & gave himself the nickname Reptile.

This is usually fatal due to the speed and power behind the attack. Because so many chakra gates are opened at once, it can only be used once, since the user will likely be unable to stand afterward. This is proven when Lee is left barely able to stand after using it on Gaara, and the latter's powerful defenses and long-distance attacks allowed him to win the match. Guy's version involves him launching the enemy into the air, spinning like a drill, and delivering a bone-shattering punch.

This gate is what restricts the body to try and mend itself. If it is broken down the body begins to regenerate at an alarmingly fast rate. Releasing this gate will cause your Stamina to replenish itself. Thus all wounds caused prior are healed.

3 Life Gate
This gate is what restricts the flow of your soul's chakra. Releasing this gate, will cause a great outsurge of Chi to flow through the body. Giving off a green aura.

4 Harm Gate
This gate is what controls the feeling of pain within the body, registering what makes the body feel good and what makes pain flow through the body. Releasing this gate, will give the user the ability to not feel pain.

5 Limit Gate
This gate, is what restricts the power of the muscles, the body normally only uses so much of a muscles true strength in order to reduce the risk of straining and hurting muscles and deteoriating them through excessive and reckless use.

6 View Gate
This gate is what restricts the power of the eyes. The eyes can only register so much information at one time, without causing harm to the eyes. Releasing this gate, will remove that restriction from the eyes and have it so that the user can see things much easier and even things that are faster then them can be seen easier.

7 Wonder Gate
This gate, is one of the last restrictors upon the body. The use of this gate, brings out some of the bodies utmost potential. This gate although one of the last gates, doesn't have any cons to it, if it is used alone.

8 Death Gate
The final gate, nicknamed the Death Gate because it is known to cause death. This gate, opens up the gate to the soul. Soul Chakra is by far the most powerful chakra in the world, for it is used in cases of special sealings and such.

Because the gate requires two summoning calls (a right and left), he will bite both his right and left thumbs to initiate the contract.

The gates are not invincible however, being dented by the Soutourou of Kiba and Akamaru, and totally destroyed by Naruto into his four-tailed Kyuubi form. The latter gates do manage to deflect the majority of Naruto's blast though, which could have killed Orochimaru had it not be deflected.

Description: Kuchiyose • Edo Tensei is a Ninjutsu technique which had been forbidden because of its dark nature. The technique involves the summoning of dead souls from the afterlife back into the real world. Normally Kuchiyose (summoning) involves the use of the caster's blood as compensation for summoning, Edo Tensei is different though. The ninja will first sacrifice a living person to provide the vessel that the dead soul will inhabit. The dead body will then be incased in ash and dirt to resemble the soul of the person that was resurrected. When the ninja wishes to recall the souls, a portal will open in the ground and the caskets holding the bodies will appear. When the caskets open the bodies will be grey and in a state of minor decay. At this point the dead souls are able to remember their past life, but they are at the command of the one who summoned them. One final act will fully wipe out their conscious and make them under the command of the one who summoned them. The ninja will place a fuda (charm/tag) of some form into the head of the body. This will then give vitality back to the body and make it a pure killing machine.

When a portion of the dead body is damaged, the ash and dust will merely return and fix the damaged body part. The only way currently known to stop the resurrected person, is to utilize the Shiki Fuujin technique and remove the soul from the body.

This is a Fuuinjutsu technique used to counter-act the effects of a
cursed seal. The ninja writes the needed seal characters on the ground
and body of the person cursed with the seal. The ninja then forms the
needed hand seals and places his hand over the cursed seal and then
activates the written seal. The seal characters will then retreat to
surround the cursed seal in a circular seal. Though the Evil Sealing
Method can work well against lesser seals, it will not be able to fully
stop a cursed seal placed by a powerful, skilled ninja.

Description: This seal consists of three tomoe, similar to the Sharingan. It is the counterpart to the Cursed Seal of Earth, and the strongest of all the cursed seals that Orochimaru uses. The seal spreads over the user's body like stains when activated.

Anko received her cursed seal while she was a student of Orochimaru. She, along with nine others, were the first people to receive a cursed seal. She was the only one to survive the application, establishing the one-in-ten chance of surviving the application of a cursed seal, but lacked the necessary will to use it. As such, her seal receded and Orochimaru wiped her memory. Orochimaru was able to reactivate it when they fought in the Forest of Death. Orochimaru was disappointed when he learned she lacked the malice to use the seal. Since Anko never uses her seal, her mutated form is never seen.

Sasuke also survived the application of the cursed seal. Orochimaru gives it to him against his will during the second stage of the Chunin exam. Orochimaru gave it to him as a test of the Uchiha clan's abilities, as well as a way to prepare Sasuke for becoming his next host. After Sasuke won his battle during the preliminary matches of the Chunin exam, Kakashi Hatake used the Evil Sealing Method to restrict the cursed seal, although its effectiveness is dependent on Sasuke's willpower. Regardless, Sasuke came to rely on the Heaven seal's power, thus weakening Kakashi's seal. Sasuke unlocked the Heaven seal's full power with the help of the Sound Four. When the second level of the seal is active, Sasuke's skin turns dark-gray and his hair grows much longer without losing its style. Additionally, he grows hand-shaped, beige colored wings from his back and a dark, star-shaped mark appears on the bridge of his nose. However, after Orochimaru attempted to take over Sasuke's body again during his battle with Itachi Uchiha, Orochimaru was sealed in a everlasting Genjutsu by Susanoo, removing the cursed seal from Sasuke's shoulder. It is through the extraction of Orochimaru, the seal was removed as well.

Because of Orochimaru being sealed, it can be speculated that Anko's curse seal was removed as well.

Unfortunately for the both of them, Kimimaro contracted a fatal disease. The seal consists of three slightly curved lines, which spread in a square pattern. When the second level of the seal is active, Kimimaro takes on a dinosaur-like appearance complete with a tail. Several large bones also protrude from his darkened brownish-maroon skin.

Description: Each member of the Sound Four uses a Cursed Seal. Their seals, however, are not as powerful as the Heaven and Earth seals, although they have similar end results.

Jirobo's cursed seal consists of three triangles. When the second level of his seal is active, his skin turns red and his hair grows longer. He also grows warts on his forehead and shoulders, and he claims his strength increases ten times.

Kidomaru's cursed seal consists of three spirals. When the second level of his seal is active, he turns deep red, a third eye opens on his forehead and his hair grows longer. He also grows horns on his forehead and his elbows.

Sakon and Ukon both have the same type of cursed seal, which consists of three bean-shaped dots. When the second level of their seals are active, they resemble ogres with red skin, longer hair, a single horn (on opposite sides for each brother), and can grow black armor from their bodies. They can also extend their fusing abilities to someone other than each other.

Tayuya's cursed seal consists of three hooks, similar to a triskelion. When the second level of her seal is active, her hair grows longer, she grows five oddly-placed horns, and her skin turns dark brown. The horns grow when she exerts herself.
